ROXY-TIVOLI
"Fighting with hornet fury, the challenger fairly spat punches, and the resistless fury of his onslaught swep't the negro before it like chaff before the wind. Louis fought back desperately, but was always the first to back away in these fierce toe-to-toe rallies." In these words an American sporting writer described the last stages of the Louis-Farr fight for the world heavy-weight boxing championship which will be shown in full detail at the Roxy and Tivoli Theatres for a season beginning to-morrow. The film, which ,ie not an ordinary "short," but a 32-minute attraction, shows, it is claimed, all the important exchanges between Farr and Louis. The feinting cleverness of the negro is shown, while the effect of Fair's powerful punches can be seen. j
The associate programme presents "Mountain Music." a pleasing musical film, which tells the story of a man who loses his memory whenever he is struck on the head. In "West Bound, Limited," in which Lyle Talbot and Polly Rowles are the stars, bandits hold up trains, and many other exciting moments are provided in this film. Martha Raye is starred in "Mountain Music."
