HAPPY REUNION.
HOME TOWN REVISITED.
COROMANDEL EX-RESIDENTS.
Making their annual excursion to their old "home town," about 150 former residents of Coromandel, with their friends, journeyed there at the week-end to renew old acquaintances and view again scenes that were once familiar. The excursion, arranged by the Old Coromandel County Boys and Girls' Association, was a great success. That the ex-residente could meet the present on equal terms at sport was proved when a football match, Old Boys v. Coromandel, ended in a draw, three all. A dance was held on Saturday evening, and on Sunday a eight-seeing trip was arranged. In the afternoon members of the executive visited the hospital to distribute comforts to the sick.
When the time came on Sunday evening for the (saying of farewells, there was a memorable scene at the wharf. Hundreds gathered to exchange streamers with the visitors before the s.b. Hauiti pulled out, and when the ship reached Auckland about 9.45 o'clock it wae the fee!ing of the whole party that they had had "a marvellous trip."
