CHURCH ANNIVERSARY.
REUlflOir AT PITT STREET.
Celebrating the 71st anniversary of the establishment of the Pitt Street Methodist Church, an old people's reunion was held on Saturday afternoon and was attended by 300 people. Bouquets were presented to Mesdames Warren (92) and C. Guffin (91) the oldest parishioners present, and a presentation was also made to Mr. Hetherington, who was the oldest male parishioner present. The rhurch secretary, Mr. J. H. Shackelford, presided, and an address was given by the Rev. A. Sharp, of Mount Albert. Mrs. K. J. Rosser sang a solo.
Two services were held yesterday when the celebrations were continued. The Rev. W. T. Blight preached at the morning service, and the Rev. E. T. Olds at the evening service.
