STRONG OPPOSITION.

•TATS COMTKOL OF HONEY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, Sunday. Alarmed at the prospect of compulsory State marketing of honey, Wanganui Beekeepers, representing 90 per cent of the producers within a radius of 30 miles of the city, decided on Saturday night to inform the Ministers of Finance and Agriculture that they were strongly opposed to the socialisation of the industry.

Tha meeting supported the compulsory grading of honey and the fixation of minimum prices for the respective grades by the Honey Export Control Board, as at present constituted. A resolution was also passed opposing centralised packing depots, "which mean loading the product with unnecessary freight and labour costs."
