METAL PRICES FIRMER. (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, October 1. Following are to-day's quotations on the London metal market, compared with those of September 29:—
Quotations for other metals, with last week's prices in parentheses, are:—Pig iron: Home trade, £5 1/ (£5 1/). Antimony: British, £03 (£03): foreign, afloat, £74 (£72 10). Molybdenite: £2 5/6 (£2 5/6) a unit. Wolfram: £5 17/6 (£6 2/6) a unit.
BUTTER AND CHEESE. A. S. Paterson and Company, Limited, quote:—Butter: Market quiet. New Zealand, 127/6; Australia, 127/6: Danish, 139/ (market steady). Cheese: Market steady. White, 70/; coloured, 70/. EGG MARKET SLOW. (Received 11- a.m.) LONDON, September 30. Eggs are slow, with six teens selling at 14/ per 100. fifteens at 13/6, fourteens at 13/ and thirteen ar.d a halfs at 12/3.
