BRITISH RETAIL TRADE.
(British Official Wire] OSS. ) RUGBY, September 29. The value of the retail trade in Britain in August wan 6.7 per cent greater than the year before. Sales are now about 23 per cent above the 1933 level. Stocks at the end of August were valued at 0.3 per cent more than the year before and employment was 3.7 per cent greater.
