LEAGUE VISIT.

SYDNEY CLUB'S OFFER. AUCKLAND CANNOT ACCEPT. THE MAORI VICTORY. A cable was received from the St. George's Club, Sydney, at last evening's meeting of the Auckland Rugby League offering to play three matches in the Dominion. The club stated that it was one of the finalists in the grade competition in Sydney, and would not be able to be here before September 18. An offer was also received from Mr. P. Burge, the former international forward, to coach the Auckland side for a couple of weeks while the visit was in progress. j After a lengthy discussion, in which it! was pointed out that the season was a lengthy one, and also the fact that an Australian side had already been to the !
