OHINEMURI CLUB.
THE ANNUAL MEETING. PROFIT OF £1777 ON SEASON. The annual meeting of the Ohinemuri Jockey Club wae held at Paeroa on Monday evening. In presenting the annual report and balance-sheet Mr. P. E. Brenan, chairman of the stewards' committee, referred to the satisfactory position of the club's finances. The year had concluded with a. net profit of £1777. The arrangement with 'the Taumarunui Racing Club wae satisfactory and provided the club was favoured with good weather at the next meeting the whole of the Taumarunui Club's liabilities would be liquidated. The two days permits of that club would then be taken by the Ohinemuri Club, which would have four days of racing. The club intended increasing the stakes and racing facilities generally. The chairman reported that the new stand, which had been blown down during the course of construction, would be rebuilt alongside the present stewards' stand. Seating accommodation for 640 on the members' etand and for 75 on the stewards' stand wae being provided. Five candidates stood for the four vacancies on the committee, the following being elected: Messrs. P. E. Brenan, T. A. Barrett, W. Neil (re-elected) and H. Dent. NEW ZEALAND CUP. The New Zealand Cup will be run at Riecarton on Saturday, November 6, and entries close with the secretary of the Canterbury Jockey Club, Mr. F. T. H. Bell, Cb.rietch.urch., at 5 pja. to-morrpw.
