PORT OPENED.
CONTROLLED BY COMPANY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) GREYMOUTH, Wednesday. Another step in the opening up of South Westland was taken yesterday at Okarito, when the chairman of "the Okarito Harbour Company, Mr. W. B. Souter, performed the ceremonv of reopening the port, which in the "early days had a regular trade. The com pan y has had control of the harbour for 25 years, this being the only harbour in N'ew Zealand controlled and operated by private enterprise.
