BEETHOVEN EVENING.
Students and their friends held a successful Beethoven evening at the home of Mrs. M. Poole, L.R.S.M., on Saturday last. A programme of piano solos and duets, songs and part-songs from the composer's music, interspersed with appropriate remarks, and competitions was given b"v the following: —M. Poole, M. Broadwood, D. Clipper, F. Capper, V. Capper. M. Caughley, D. Chisholm, E. Hole. G. Poole. A. Poole, J. Steele, Z. Wade, E. Whitelaw.
