ALTERED TIME SYSTEM.
The Continental 24-hour-day system has been introduced by the Auckland Harbour Board to ensure working under greater accuracy. Since last week-end notices have been posted under the new system, which has been recognised by naval and military authorities for many years. The terms a.m. and p.m. need not be applied under the Continental style, midday being 12.00 hours and midnight 24.00 houra.
