ROAD TO THERMAL AREA.
RECONSTRUCTION SUPPORTED The proposal to reconstruct the road from Atiamuri to the thermal area at Orakeikorako, about 34 miles south of Rotorua, has received the support of the Automobile Association (Auckland). At a recent meeting of the council the president of the association, Mr. F. G. Farrell, stated that hundreds of tourists wished to visit the Orakeikorako area while holiday-making in Rotorua, but were deterred by the state of the access road.
