An employee of the Davis Estate farm. Manawaru. Mr. William Neil, splashed some strong caustic soda solution into an ere yeeterday while cleaning milkinjr utensils. He suffered severe burns and was taken to the Waikato Hospital. The recent sunny weather has dried farms on the Hauraki Plains, and has made the grass more palatable to sheep, but farmers in the district have found that there has been little appreciative growth in the fields. The recent frosty weather is blamed for the lack of growth.
