WEATHER FORECAST.

The Government Meteorologist ie«ued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Moderate to strong north-east winds, reaching gale force in places. Weather dull and misty, with rain in most parts and some heavy falls. Temperatures mild. Seas rough on the east coast and rather rough to rough offshore on the west coast. Pressure is still high over and east of the Dominion. The depression to the westward has made little eastward movement and appears to have been losing intensity. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day: The indications are for moderate east to north-east winds, of gale force in places. Expect dull weather, with much mist and fog in parU; rain probable, heavy in places; mild temperatures. The barometer has a falling tendency. Seas rough. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day :— Wind, north-east, strong; sea, rough; weather, overcast, with passing showers; visibility, poor; barometer, falling.
