Kay, the Poneonby centre, who was injured in the trial match on Wedneeday week, k improving and he ie expected to be fit by Saturday. The indications so far as the Kangaroos' thirteen ie concerned are that the combination that existed between the loose forwards and meide backs in the success-
ful New South Wales team of this year ' will be entirely preserved and that patron* of Carlaw Park will eee such clever backs ae Norman, Beaton and McKinnon ex- ! plotting the tactics which have aeeieted Eastern Suburbs to climb to the top of
the Sydney League ladder. Beaton hae not previously been seen in action in New Zealand, but he hae been an outstanding euccese in Australia and a leg injury kept him out of the Kangaroos who came this way in 1935. Norman and McKinnon are well known in New Zealand. Williame ie a clever half-back and a remarkably ( accurate goal-kicker. On the wing, A. D. McLean will be making hie debut with the Kangaroos. He is a player with a great reputation, ae he represented the Wallabies in South Africa and again in i New Zealand last year. The Australians | forward will be a fast and hard-working combination and Aucklandere will once ' more see in action eueh men ae Fairall, • Stehr, Pearce and Prigg.
