CARLAW PARK GAME.
POSSIBLES V. PROBABLES.
PREPARING FOR KANGAROOS.
In order to select a New Zealand Rugby League team to play against the Australian team next Saturday week, a trial match was played at Carlaw Park this afternoon between Possible and' Probable teams. Interest was lent to the fixture by the presence in the -Probables' team of four of the leading players from the South Island and two from Wellington. The weather was overcast and the ground on the heavy aide. There was a fair attendance. The teams were:— Possible*. Full-back: J. Hemi (Manukau). Three-quarters: J. Rata (City), A. Kay (Ponsonby), L. Schultz (Mount Albert). Five-eighths: W. Tittleton (Richmond), R. Bicker ton (Richmond). Half-back: H. Halloran (Ponsonby). Forwards: W. Telford (Richmond), M. Leather barrow (Ponsonby), H. Gault (Manukau), J. Brodick (Manukau), F. Pickrang (Ponsonby), S. Watene (Manukau). Probable*. Full-back: W. Glover" (Marist). Three-quarters: C. "Davison (Christchurch), N. Kiely (West Coast), A. Beban (West Coast). Five-eighths: R. Chase (Manukau), T. Chase (Manukau). Half-back: H. Mahima (Manukau). •Forwards: J. Cootes (Wellington), W. Glynn (West Coast), J. Breed (Marist), E. McLeod (Richmond), C. Berry (Wellington), E. Morgan (Ponsonby). Reserves: H." Mataira (City), W. McCallujp (Mount Albert).
