ELECTRICAL CONTRACTS.
SHORTAGE OF MATERIALS.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DARGAVILLE, Monday. KepercuEeione of the heavy demand for steel on account of increased armament manufacture have been felt by electrical contractors working in the North Auckland Electric Power Board's district, stated Mr. T. W. McKay, a local contractor, in discussing the question of the iaability of contractors to tender for the board's work. "There are three contractors in Dargaville. but unleae they can obtain supplies of conduit before the end of this week they will have to suspend work," remarked Mr. McKay. "Steel cannot be bought in Auckland and supplies cabled for in February from England have not yet arrived.**
