GRAIN AND PRODUCE.
MARKETS ARE STEADY.
POLLARD HARD TO BUY.
The only changes in quotations on the local grain and produce market* eince last report have been in potatoes and onions. White southern potatoes are quoted 5/ per ton higher at £9 5/ to £9 10/. Red Dakota* are unchanged at £10 5/ to £10 10/. Southern onions are selling 1/ higher at 11/6 per cwt, while Pukekohe are firmer, but unchanged in price. Merchants again report firmness and scarcity in the Australian pollard market, but supplies are still coming to hand in just sufficient quantity to keep the market going. Bran is in ample supply from the local mills.
