METHODIST MISSION.
QUARTERLY MEETING HELD.
Encouraging reports were received from all departments at the quarterly meeting of the board of management of the Methodist Central Mieeion last evening. The Rev. A. Everil Orr presided. It was reported that a healthy state of affairs, existed among young people at both the Airedale Street and Franklin Road branches, and there was an increase in church membership. The social service department expenditure amounted to £660. There had been a decrease in the applications for food, although those for clothing, footwear «nd firing were umliminished. Between 80 and 100 men attended the mission's "down and out" meetings on Saturdays. During the season 160 children had been catered for at the Campbell's Bay health camp, which would receive children during the winter months. Donations, it was stated, had been received for the new building scheme at Airedale Street.
