PORT BOWEN ARRIVES

MAUNGANUI IN THE MORNING.

TREDINMICK IK FORT. H.M.S. ENDEAVOUR FOR SURVEY. The Port Line steamer Port Bowen, 8267 tons (Captain Thomas), arrived from London shortly after 3 p.m. to-day and berthed at the Queen's wharf. She left London on May 28 and has been delayed by heavy weather during the last three days. She comes, to the agency of the Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, and is expected to leave for Wellington on Thursday. The Union Company's intercolonial steamer Maunganui will arrive from Sydney at 7 a.m. to-morrow and berths at the Central wharf at 7.30 to land passengers, mails and cargo. She sails for Sydney on Thursday at 8 p.m. Underthe agency of the M.A.-N.Z. Line, the Hain Company's steamer Tredinnick, 4.389 tons, which left Montreal on May 22, arrived yesterday afternoon and berthed at the Prince's wharf. She is expected to leave on Thursday for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The survey ship H.M.S. Endeavour left for the inner gulf at 9.30 a.m. to-day to start the work of resurveying the coast of New Zealand, which is estimated to take five years. Her first soundings will be taken in "the Tamaki Strait, between the mainland and Waiheke Island, afterwards working through the Ponui and Waiheke Passages into the gulf. Fordsdale left for Wellington at 6 p.m. on Saturday to continue loading for London, sailing from Lyttelton on July 21. (A.S.P.) Huntingdon arrived from New Plymouth at 10 a.m. yesterday and berthed at the King's wharf. She is loading for London and West Coast ports, and goes to Opua on Wednesday. (N.Z.S. Co.) . Rotorua arrived from Gisborne at 5 p.m. yesterday and berthed at the QueenV wharf." She is for final loading and sails for London on July 13. (N.Z.S. Co.) Cornwall i* discharging cargo from Liverpool at the Prince's wharf, and is expected to leave for Wellington on Thursday. (N.Z.S. Co.) Kartigi sailed on Saturday evening for Portland, Wellington and Westport, (U.S.S. Co.) Wingatui sails to-morrow for Wellington and her usual South Island ports. (U.S.S. Co.) Omana is due on Wednesday from Melbourne. On discharge she proceeds to Wellington and Lyttelton. (U.S.S. Co.) Yarra left Sydney at 7 p.m. on Friday for Auckland and Wellington with cargo only. She is due on Wednesday.. (H.P.) ! Gera is still, discharging cargo from Gulf of Mexico'ports, and is. expected to leave for Wellington on Thursday afternoon. (HJI.) Maiiposa arrives at Suva at 8 a.m. to-morrow, sailing for Auckland at o p.m. She is due here at 7 a.m. on Friday and sails for Sydney at 5 p.m. the same day. (H.M.)
