SUSTENANCE AND WORK.
Twelve months ago I had nothing to look for but sustenance for mv wife and eight children, receiving £3 per week. I wanted to get off that, so I made a try to get a fvw cows. At the present time I have nine cows, and the gross amount from them for eleven months was ]7 .1. F>cducted from that by the factory for manure, wire. etc. was 10. and I paid to the firm which gar® me cred't for the e-.-.vs 1 ;i. a-i.i i. catting and rirting ay £4 •>'. That leaves *r.e a cre.l : i of £1-' S '9. Xo rent has been paid from that. About three months nc.-i 7 w-s redu.-e.! in sustenance to £1 1 r,r per weekT.cn :h-ee weeks ago I was reduced to 17/ per w ek. My last factory cheque was C> 'S.
