THE FLOWER GARDEN. Hold off planting operations while weather is so wet. Replacements will be necessary in Beauty and Ten-week Stocks planted earlier. better to hold any bedding plants back for a week or so rather than plant just now. Fork over weedy ground. Clean up around shrubs. Do any trimming or pruning necessary to shrubs or trees. Prepare new Rose beds; planting can be done. The pruning of Roses can be commenced. Manure the Rose beds; afterwards spray with white oil. Manure and fork over herbaceous borders. THE GREENHOUSE. Vtash pots; also the inside glass and wood work. Stir the surface soil around plants to prevent the growth of moss Give sufficient water, but err on less rather than too much. Cuttings of Gooseberry and Currants can be planted. Cut out old fruited canes of Logan and Raspberries. Pruning is now in full swing. Spraying should follow. Remember, dead twigs, fallen leaves and fruits and all rubbish should be cleaned up.
