PAUL ROBESON'S AMBITION.
Paul Robeson wants to devote the whole of his time to the cause of negroes and their culture. After much study he has been comparing the Greek, Latin, Hebrew and Chinese languages with two African dialects ' that he learned, to satisfy himself that the African negroes had a"language which compared in structure, subtlety and intellect with other ancient tongues. "I shall not entirely give up any of the things I do to-day," he said, since they can all be used to contribute propaganda to the facts I want to establish. I can make films and act and sing in them if that will help. I can also write and lecture and run a theatre company devoted to interpretations of negro folk lore, traditional dances, and But I want all these activities to be non-commercial, so first I wish to make myself financially independent."
