WYNARDO SHOWS PROMISE

Included in H. Eva's team is the three-year-old gelding by Aero from a Marble Arch—St. Auians Queen mare. Since joining the stable u few weeks ago lie has developed very materially and is now a very nice typo of thoroughbred, allowing constitution and weight-carrying ability. On the track he in a strong mover, and he certainly giveH promise of making good in due course. Seven Seas, in the same stable, is all the better for his effort at Tauranga. It is intended to give this Spear Dance representative a course of schooling over hurdles, and on account of his size and strength it is quite possible that he may be suited to this department. Since- being put on the easy list lately King Itey has freshened up considerably, and in the regular slow work now being allotted him is always anxious to increase the pace. On present appearances he should be ready to race fairly early in the new season. Among the To Aroha two-year-olds already in work, The Ace—Wynett.e colt Wynardo shows promise. M. Lipaey is iu no way hurrying this juvenile in his preparation, and lie is still therefore on the big side. Queen Lu, Gay Hose and Mungatoon, owing to having no early engagements to fulfil, are on the easy list. In the AVoodstock Stakes at Tc Awamutti Mungatoon ran up to his recently improved track form, but was to a certain extent dctriiiK'iitally alfeetcd by tin- heavy state of the <'(iiii se. A. I'!.
