BUSINESS GROWING
STATE PRINTING OFFICE. XEW BUILDING PLANNED. (From Our Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON*, thw day. The Government Printing OfKec, a very old. brick building, is to be superseded as soon as possjble by a more extensive establishment, the plane for which are practically ready. Although the .site has not been finally adopted it is probable that one not far from the present building and ritill quite convenient to Parliament Building will be adopted. "The present printing office," said the Hon. P. C. Webb. Minister in charge of the Government Printing Department, "is completely overcrowded. It employe ">4O hands, lint it is unable to cope with all the work, offered from State Departments and it is impossible to instal! more machinery in the old overcrowded building. Much printing work has con frequently to be done by contract outside. The Government ha*, therefore, decided to build a really modem wellequipped printing works on a more spacious cite aiul to go ahead as early a* possible. The printing work of ' the State is growing every day."'
