SPEEDING MOTORISTS
TWO FINED AT PAPAKURA. For speeding at 73 miles an hour on the Great South Road at Manurewa early (in the morning of June 11, Lawrence David Nathan, a young man, was fined £5 by Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M., in the Fapakura Court to-day. His license was endorsed and cancelled for six months. Inspector A. Hodgson eaid defendant's speed at Papatoetoe was OS miles an hour. Near the Wiri post office it had been between 00 and 55 miles per hour. James 7\. Mcllraith. salesman, of Auckland, was also fined £o and costs 11/. and had his license endorsed for speeding along the Great South Road at Runciman on May 27. Inspector A. Hock'snn *aid he followed defendant from Ramarama and clieoked his fipeocl from there to Runciman. It was from 55 to 63 miles an hour.
