Further tributes from various centres recently visited by club teams, which also expressed gratitude, were included in the correspondence dealt with by the Auckland Rugby League Control Board last evening, Mr. G. Grey Campbell presiding.
The Auckland Football Association wrote conveying its thanks for the services and courtesy extended by the Auckland League on the occasion of the second Test against the English Soccer amateur team. The arrangements made by the League at C'arlaw Park were gratifying, and special mention was made of the work of the secretary (Mr. Ivan Culpan). the treasurer (Mr. E. J. Knowling). and the groundsman and staff. The chairman of the New Zealand Football Association had also expressed great satisfaction at the result.
Mr. R. Do'ble, delegate on the New Zealand Council, was nominated for the position of national delegate to the International Board conference in England.
L T pon strong representations from Newton Rangers, the suspension of A. Nathan, imnosed last year, was uplifted. The appeal by the Green Lane Club against a decision by the junior committee ruling against a replay in a sixth grade match was set down for hearing next week. The chairman announced that old referees, who would be attending the first reunion arranged by the Referees Association on Saturdav evening, would be guests of the Auckland League at the Carlaw Park matches on Saturday.
