Giblw, S. Pearce, K. Lewis. W. Prig;;, A. Noival, G. Macleniiaii, H. Pierce, F. Griffith*!. The team comprises 22 New South Wales players and six Queeiuslandere. The Australians will play at Carlaw Park on August 7, 11 and 14.
NEW PLAYER FOR PONSONBY.
A recruit to the I'onsonliy Club is L. H. Cootes. who arrived in Auckland yesterday. A brother of .T. Cootes. the New Zealand forward against England last year, the newcoiiH r turns the scale at about 15*t. He represenred the Horowheiiua district for
four yours at Rugby and recently pteased in Wrllingtiui when he stepped out for • '<■ ntrill Kugby Lαague Club on two occasions.
AFFAIRS OF REFEREES.
At the meeting of the Auckland Rugby League Kefereas' Association last evening, -Mr. L. E. Bull presiding, it was reported that a deputation had waited on the executive from the schoolboys' committee regarding referees for early matches. It had been decided that the chairman confer further with the Appointments Board next week. A list of available referee* was taken in the meantime. The secretary (Mr. W. E. Simpson) reported that there was a large acceptance of invitations by ex-referees to the reunion and a very successful evening was assured. It was reported that ex-membere who would be at the reunion would be the HiuvUs of the Control Board at Carlaw Park at Saturday's matches.
