NORTH SEA CABLES.
COMMUNICATIONS IMPROVED. British Official Wireless. (Received 9.30 a.m.) RUGBY, June 25. Successful laying of two new submarine cables across the North Sea between Aldeburgh, Suffolk, and Dom burg, on the Dutch coast, provides a substantial addition to the facilities for telephone communication between Britain and many parts of the Continent. The cables are each about 85 nautical miles in length and allow 10 conversations and radio broadcast programmes to be transmitted simultaneously.
