DECISION AT CHBISTCHUBCH.
' (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. With no dissentient vote, a meeting last night of representatives of the Christchurch City Council and contiguous boroughs and counties approved a
scheme for the assumption of traffic i control in these areas by the City Coun- < cil oil September 30. The adjoining boroughs ond counties represented were Xew Brighton, Sumner. Riccarton, Heathcote and Waimairi. The Riccarton Borough Council was represented by the town clerk, who stated he ,had not been authorised to vote, but the Minister of Transport, the Hon. R. Sempls, indicated to the meeting that a majority decision would be sufficient, and if any minority opposed the scheme he would over-ride their objections by legislation.'
