YOUTH CALLING.
Y.W.C.A/S PAGEAHT
Everyone will remember the success that attended the huge pageant presented by the Y.W.C.A. last year, which proved conclusively the ability with which women can organise.
At the end of this month the association is going to stage another pageant and in it are 1200 performers, 800 of whom are being trained in the Y.W.C.A. gymnasium. An original idea, in which an attempt will be made to portray the health activities of the girls of Auckland, has been worked out by the association itself, and assisting in the production is Mrs. Bartley Baxter. The main idea is the presentation of the quest for wholesomeness of body, mind and soul, and the search for beauty, truth and goodness —all things included in the ideals of the Y.W.C.A. The proceeds are for the children's health camps (King George V. Memorial Fund).
