AUCKLAND-WELLINGTON AIR SERVICE INAUGURATED.—The passenger and mail service to be conducted by Union Airways between Auckland'and Wellington was inaugurated this morning, and the monoplane Kuaka christened by the Mayor, Sir Ernest Davis. The illustrations show the Postmaster-General, the Hon. F. Jones, cutting the inauguration ribbon. Beside him is Mr. C. C White, acting chairman of directors of Union Airways. The Mayor is seen making a brief, address at the christening ceremony, while the main picture shows a tractor towing the Kuaka to the runway for her take-off for Wellington.
