NAVY CALLED ON.
TRINIDAD STRIKE RIOTS.
(Received 11 a.m.) PORT OF SPAIN (Trinidad), June 21. The British cruiser Kent is steaming here as the result of a strike riot in the oil fields, in which a police subinspector and a corporal have been killed and many police and civilians wounded. Telephone lines were cut. Additional police have been sent to the scene of the trouble pending the arrival of Navy reinforcements.
