SYDNEY, this day. The Australian Rugby League Board of Lontrol last night gave permission to the New South Wales Rugby League to negotiate with Richmond Club, Auckland, winch desired a visit to Australia to play a series of matches at the end of the cm-rent season.

At the meeting of the junior management committee of the Auckland Rugby League last evening, Mr. D. Wilkie presiding, a letter was received from the South Auckland League suggesting that Huntly High School Old Boys' team, leaders in the junior competition, should play in a curtain-raiser at Carlaw Park. It was pointed out that the team was playing fine football, and was worthy of such a match in the city.

The chairman said he had taken the opportunity to discuss the matter with the South Auckland secretary, Mr. T)avies, on King's Birthday holiday, and it was decided to favourably consider the request when curtain-raisers were being arranged.

For the first time this season there was a list of judicial cases. A Mount Albeit third grade player, who contended that he was not flighting. but apologised if it was thought he did, was cautioned, his Otahuhu opponent having been dealt with similarlv the previous week.

An T'.V. player, ordered ofT for offensive language, did not appear. It was found he was a "ring in." and the inquiry in the matter was adjourned for the attendance of the team coach and captain. Tn the same grade, a North Shore player, for punching an opponent, was suspended until he appears.

Four first-offending fourth graders, two each from Ponsonliv and Richmond, were s-evcrelv cautioned for fighting, and a sixth grade Papakura player was cautioned for an improper remark to a referee. It is now definite that the City Rovers' team will play at Tokaanu on Saturday, so that six ot' the eight club major thirtecus will have fixtures out of Auckland. Ponsonby will be at Wellington, Mount Albert at New Plymouth, Manukau at Taneatua (Bay of Plenty), City Rovers at Tokaanu, Xorth Shore Albion at Hnntly, and Marist Old Boys at Whangarei.
