The Duke of Windsor's marriage, although performed in a luxurious room of the Chateau de Cande, will be identical with thousands carried out daily. The Duke and his bride will sit together, flanked by the witnesses. The Mayor of Monts, Dr. Mercier, who will officiate, wearing the tricolour scarf of his office, will conduct the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bedaux, owners of the Chateau de Cande, presented the Duke and Miss Warfield, as she is now known, with a wedding present of a carved wooden statuette of a man and a woman embracing, bearing a jewelled plaque inscribed, "The Kiss." The recipients are delighted with the gift, which has been placed prominently among their presents. The chateau will be a bower of flowers on the wedding day.
