TO-DAY IN CHRISTCHURCH. HESITANT MARKET TONE. TARANAKI OILS EASIER. <By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The Monday morning atmosphere ruled on the. Christchurch Stock Exchange this morning, when the sales list covered only a moderate range of shares, and values seemed hesitant. Tarauaki Oils continued Saturday's easing with sales another 3d lower, at 3/6, after which more were wanted at that figure, with sellers at 3/8. Prominent among other sales were National Mortgage '"A" at a rise of 6d, no quotations being made on 'Change. Dunlop, Perdriau moved up again, showing at £1 2/ the strongest level for almost two years. Buyers finished at firm rates. Though chain store shares were quiet, Woolworths (Sydney) made a slight recovery. G. J. C'oles had stronger buying support at £5 10/3. Unsupported sellers of Woolworths (JSI.Z., ord.), wanted £8. Banks eased on selling limits. Commercial of Sydney had a sale at £21 17/, with no buyers. Nationals of New Zealand (cum div.) were unchanged, with quotations steady from £3 3/6 to £3 5/3.
