Mr. W. Goodfellow will leave to-night by the Limited for Wellington. Mr. Justice Smith arrived from Wellington yesterday morning to conduct sessions of the Supreme Court in Auckland. Mr. W. J. Lyons. M.P. for Waitemata, returned north by the Limited last night from Wellington as far as Frankton, and went on to Matamata. Mr. W. Gledhill. managing director of Burroughs. Limited. Sydney, arrived in Auckland this morning by the Mariposa on a business visit to New Zealand. Mr. R. L. Grant, general manager for Xew Zealand of British Empire Films, Limited, arrived in Auckland this morning from Wellington. He is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. L. Lindon. manager of the Vacuum Oil Co. Pty., Ltd., of Xew Zealand, returned to Xew Zealand by the Mariposa this .morning after a visit to Australia. Major-General J. E. Duigan, General Officer commanding the Xew Zealand Military Forces, joined the express from Auckland this afternoon at Frankton for Wellington. Mr. F. H. Dwyer, manager of the Midhind Hotel, Wellington, arrived by the Mariposa this morning from Sydney, and will leave to-night by the Limited for Wellington. Mr. E. G. Martin, managing director of the Atlantic Union Oil Company, Limited, of Xew Zealand, returned from a business visit to Australia by the Mariposa this morning. Mr. Frank Goldberg, governing director of the Goldberg Advertising Agency, Limited, arrived by the Limited this morning from Wellington, and sails for Sydney by the Aorangi to-morrow. Mr. A. Robertson, of the chief post office, Christchurch, and Mr. G. A. Wilkes, of Oamaru, have been elected to represent officers of the postal and telegraph branches respectively on the Post and Telegraph Appeal Board. Dr. T. Z. Koo, the well-known Christian student leader, who has been vfc.it - ing the main centres of Xew Zealand, arrived front the South by the Limited this morning, and will leave to-night by the Mariposa for San Frantisco. Mr. Les Munro, chairman of the Auckland Football Association, returned this morning from Wellington, where he represented ~the code at the England v. Welluigton Province Soccer match on Saturday, and at the subsequent dinner. Mr. S. S. Dean, cliairman of the management committee of the Xew Zealand Rugby Union, returned to Wellinjfton by the Limited last night. He arrived in Auckland on Saturday to confer with the Eden Park Board of Control regarding the venue of the third Test match between Xew Zealand and South Africa on September 25. Mr. John Johnson. M.A., of the staff of the Canterbury University College, will leave Auckland to-night by the Mariposa to study education in the ni.LU States on a Carnegie travelling T mnt. Both he and Mrs. Johnson, who rorrwrly resided in Auckland, will represent New Zealand at the World Conference of Friends near Philadelphia in September.
