INTRUSION RESENTED.
SAWMUXERS' ATTITUDE. j (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, Saturday. In connection with the statement made by the Hon. Adam Hamilton, in an address at Levin, that four sawmills in the South Island had been obliged to close down as a result of the Government's legislation, Mr. J. W. Call well, representing the West Coast Sawmillers' Association, xo-day stated that West Coast sawmillers agreed with the Minister of Lands, the Hon. F. Langstone, in strongly resenting the intrusion of any politician into what was merely a matter of business between the sawmillers and the Government. "The business of any association, whether of employers or workers, is to protect the interests of all its members and not some of them," said Mr. Callwell.
