CROSSING ATLANTIC. PIRATE'S DESCENDANT IN CREW. (Special.—By Air Mail.) LONDON, May 8. At the close of the Spithead Coronation review, a 20-ton cutter, the Bendilow, will leave Gosport harbour to brave the Atlantic in an endeavour to reach Newfoundland in 21 days. Three voung people will he aboard that boat. The skipper is Mr. Carlton Wallace, the author; his wife, a daughter of Admiral Arthur Grant, is cook and relief helmsman. Third memlior of the crew is Mr. Philip Morgan, known to his friends as "Pips,'' a descendant of Captain Morgan, the famous old-time pirate. 'All my friends say we are quite mad to try to cross the Atlantic in such a small boat. But I know that the Bendilow ride any sea,' said Skipper Wallace. He is going to insist on disci- | pline and routine aboard. Each member of the etcw will take turn it the helm, and three-hour watches will he observed.
