The existing service from Dunedin to Palniepstoti North," calling at Christchurch, witl sot be altered. The machines to be used on the Wellington-Auskland route are Lockheed Electras, which are expected to arrive in New Zealand shortly. No date for the commencement of the North Island service has yet been announced, although routes and timetables have been arranged. The latter provide for one trip both ways each day, the route chosen including calls at New Plymouth and Palmerston North. When extended to Christchurch the service would provide direct contact in the one day with both Wellington and Auckland.
