MANAGER CONFIDENT. United Press Association.-—Copyright. (Received 10 a.m.) I APETCnVX, May 13. The Springboks sail to-morrow for their tour of Now Zealand and Australia. The manager. Mr. Percy Day. says that from a playinjr point of view and also from the point of view of South Africa's prestige, it is felt that the selection committee could not have done its job better.
The Springboks will uphold the I nion's sporting reputation and show the Australians and Xew Zealanders they can play the frame on and off the field.
"The whole aim is to make South Africa proud of our achievements and to cement friendships with our Dominion cousin?," said Mr. Day.
