FARMERS CONCERNED.
SONS DRIFTING TO TOWNS
{By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, Thursday
Concern at the present day tendency of farmers' sons to drift to the towne because there are no prospects of their being able to settle on farms of their own, was expressed by several delegates at a meeting of the Dominion executive of the New .Zealand Farmers' Union todav.
It wae felt that the Government should assist financially so that theee trained and experienced young farmers could obtain land of their own, thus remaining in the industry in which they had been trained
Several speakers stated that, due to the depression, farmere had no epare capital with which to give their boys a start on farms of their own, and in many cases there was little prospect of their being able to do so in the near future.
