OLD-FASHIONED?
Comment on N.Z. Paintings in London. COMMENDATION FOB TWO. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LOXDOX, May 7. "The Times," commenting on an exhibition of paintings, drawings and sculpture by Empire artists, organised by the Royal British Colonial Society of Artists, says the Xew Zealand paintings come nearest to the British style, but are of a slightly old-fashioned variety. A. Elizabeth Kelly's "Waianakarua" and Cecil F. Kelly's "Lyttelton Harbour" may be mentioned, adds "The Times."
