DUNEDIN BREWERY. DIVIDEND C PER CENT. ««y Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.! DUNEDIN, Thursday. The directors of the Dunedin Brewery and Wilson Malt Extract Company. Limited, in their annual report show a net profit for' the year ended February 28. of £.1917, after deducting beer duty, depreciation on various assets, directors' tees, rales, insurance, etc. A miju of £03 was brought forward. making £5980 available. An interim dividend of 2V3 per cent absorbed £ 1250. The directors now recommend the following appropriations: — Provision for income tax £2586. final dividend of 3Ms per cent (making 6 per cent for the year) £17511, and the balance of £394 to be carried forward. Income tax paid during the year was greater than that provided for and this amount has been met from this year's profits. Last year's net profits were £5830, and in 1935' they were £5279. MOUNT LYELL DIVIDEND. The directors of the Mount Lyell Mill--1 ing and Railway Company. Limited, M'.l- , bourne, have declared an interim dividend for the half year ended March 31 of 1/6 a share, payable in Australian currency lon June 21. Last year the interim divii dend was 6d, followed by a final distribution of 1/6. making 2/ for the year, against 6d a share for 1934-35.

WILSONS CEMENT. A final dividend of 9d a share, making 15 per cent for the year ended March 31. is recommended by the directors of Wilsons (X.Z.) Portland Cement, Ltd. Last year the same dividend was paid, and in addition a bonus of 5/ a share was distributed to mark the jubilee of the company. Owing to suggestions of Government interference in the cement industry the shares have dropped in value during the year, the .price at the last sale being £1 12/6 for the 10/ shares. This compares with £2 3/ a year ago. The market for the shares improved slightly when the unchanged dividend was announced this morning on the Auckland Stock Exchange, buyers moving up to £1 12/6 and sellers asking £1 13/3.
