TRAFFIC IN MANUREWA.
• OVERHEAD BRIDGE; SOUGHT. A request that lie should bring before the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. K. Nomple, their previous representations for tlie provision of an overhead bridge in Manurewa was made this morning to the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. \\ . E. Parry, by a deputation from the Manurewa Town Board. Members of the deputation stated that tlie bridge was desired at a dangerous intersection near tlie Manurewa Post Office. The matter had already been discussed with Mr. Semple, anil they felt that, as Mr. Semple was busily engaged 011 transport matters, Mr. Parry might lie able to assist them. "There is one tiling about Mr. Semple," remarked the Minister, "he likes to see things for himself. If he is convinced ' of the necessity for any job, he will i certainly have that job done." Mr. j Parry promised the deputation that he | would confer with Mr. Semple.
