THE PROCESSION.

RULES FOR CHILDREN.

NO UMBRELLAS OR FLAGS

«POP" BOTTLES BANNED,

(Special.—By Air Mall.) LONDON, April 10. Every one of the 37,000 London school children who are to see the Coronation procession from the Thames Embankment must be at least 11 years old. The consent of parents must be obtained, and teachers are being asked to bear in mind the medical record of individual children. Teachers are being asked to see that every child has a coat or mackintosh. Umbrellas are being prohibited.

It is recommended that the children should wear berets, or caps instead of hats with brims, which might obscure the view of children behind. No flags or streamers will be allowed, but coloured handkerchiefs may be waved. There will be no facilities for children to buy refreshments. Every child will have to take food.

School parties are asked to make "shopping bags" for themselves. The bags will serva to carry the child's lunch and —if it is fUta —the coat or mackintosh as a protection if the child sits down. Girls' schools, it is suggested,

may be able to make the bags for contingents from boys' schools. The boys, in return, can make the placards which are to be carried at the head of the contingents. giving particulars of tlie position of the processional route and details about train*, steamers or trams.

(Jliiss water bottles and mineral waters are banned. Jf fruit is not considered a satisfactory substitute for drink, the drink may be taken in something safer than a glass bottle. There will be no seats for the children, but there will be room enough for them to ftit on the ground. Tests which have been carried out indicate that every child will have a good view.
