LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
AFFAIRS OF REFEREES. At the meeting of the Auckland Rugby League Referees' Association last evening. Mv. L. E. Bull presiding, hearty approval was given to the appointment of Mr. R. Benson as the elected representative of th* Control Board, with Mr. G. Grey Campbell as third member. The Control Board intimated that the senior B and second grade was being amalgamated in order to increase competition between the open-weight grades. A conference betwe<*h the Control Board representatives and the association executive was fixed for next week.
