Mr..William D. Webber presided oyer a well-attended meeting of thd instrumental circle of the Society of last evening. Pianoforte items comprised a duo, " Concerto in B Flat" (Bach); a duet, "Treasure Waltz" (Strauss), and the following solos: "Waltzes in A Flat Major and E Minor" (Chopin); "Waltz in A Major" (Levitzsky); * "Garden® . Under Rain" (Debussy); "Sonatad in G Majdr arid 7 'G Minor" (Scarlatti); "The Stranger" and "Prophetic Bird" (Schumann); "Basso Ostinato" (Arensky); "Sonetta del Petrarca" and "Dance of the Gnomes" (Liszt); "Christmas Piece" (Mendelssohn); violin solo, "Serenade" (Drdla). The performers were: Mesdames [Phyllis Dundas Edmonds, Vera Fowler and Misses Becky Pelham, Neila McLeod, Ixirna Schmidt, Nancy Vauglian, Mildred Spargo, NAftcy Patricia McLeod, Mary Murphy, Nancy Hughes, LpriiSe Sexton, Freda Cfdtik and Audrey Thompson. ■ i-st - t if-
