POWER FOR TOKOROA.

EARLY START WITH WOIiK. (From Our Own Correspondent.) TOKOROA, Wednesday. A definite assurance that electric power would be extended to Tokoroa in the immediate future wa~ given by Mr. George Ireland, chairman of the Tokoroa Progress League, at a meeting of the league tin* week. Mr. Ireland said he had been in touch with Mr. J. Prii-e. chairman of the Thames Valley Electric Power Board, who had informed him that work would be started immediately on the new line to Tokoroa. A canvass of the district had been made last August and the result had been favourable, but a shortage of materials had delayed the commencement of the work. However, the work would be started immediately.
