Pan-American Airways'; survey Clipper is still at Pago Pago. expected that she would have taken off on the second hop of her return flight to San Francisco about four o'clock this morning, but according to wireless message* received by the radio shack at St. Helier'e the flight was not attempted.
Weather conditions for.a flight to-day were regarded aa reasonably good. No explanation of the decision to abandon the flight to-day Jias been received by representatives of the company in Auckland. Tt is expected that a decision will be made late to-night a* to whether the Clipper will take off to-morrow.
